Annelies is an actor, dancer, improvisor, and teaching artist. A lifelong Californian, Annelies was raised in the state's capitol, which is where her journey performing began: as a 6 year old with a pair of tap shoes and a dream. Since then, Annelies has acted in projects both on stage and on screen, from leading lady, to bumbling Brit.

 

Along with working with a script, Annelies is also passionate improvisor, and has trained in both short and long form. She’s proud to have been apart of organizations like ComedySportz, Improv Revolution, and The Free Association.

 

In July of 2023, Annelies graduated with her MFA in Acting from East 15 Acting School at the University of Essex in London, England. She is a proud member of Equity, the performing arts union of the UK. 

 

She currently resides in Sacramento, California, where she is pursuing her career as a performer and a teaching artist. Annelies is an Adjunct Professor of Theatre at American River College.

 

In addition to her performing, Annelies works occasionally as a choreographer and director. Her most recent projects include regency era choreography for a production of Sense & Sensibility, and she's currently the assistant director for Treasure Island at American River College. 

 

When Annelies is not at the theatre or in a classroom, you can find her at a bowling alley, playing board games with her Mom, or editing her next YouTube video.
